SUMMARY
Supports Facilities Supervisor in the supervision, training and coordination of all employee’s engaged in
maintaining Atec and subsidiaries facilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with Facilities Manager on all maintenance related tasks for Corporate and subsidiary
offices.
Research and recommend improvements in facilities maintenance.
Keep up to date with the latest maintenance routines to increase effectiveness of all facilities employees.
Administer construction projects, coordinate repairs and maintenance request to ensure they meet
budgetary and operational expectations.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, irrigation, electrical and HVAC system.
Perform and document property inspections.
Create budgets and estimate job hour requirements for facility improvements
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work
environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization
(AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees assigned to the facilities department.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Atec policies and applicable laws.
Interviewing employees, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.
Address complaints and resolve problems.
AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Participate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors.
Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, or General Education Degree (GED), twenty (20) years’ experience in the building
trades or repair, or combination.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Texas Driver’s license required
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) or similar certification as approved by
management
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle equipment, reach with hands and
arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to high, precarious places
and outside weather conditions.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow written and oral instructions and to
accept constructive criticism.
May be assigned to support specific programs on a full-term or part time basis.
Noise volume varies depending on where employee is performing the job.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
