SUMMARY
Ensure Atec product quality through the application of inspection processes to verify and document
conformity to all customer and engineering requirements at planned control points in the manufacturing
process.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret oral and written instructions, specifications, and engineering drawings.
Competence in interpreting drawing standards per ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and customer specifications.
Verification of current calibration on all measurement equipment used for product acceptance and
reporting any damaged or nonconforming equipment to Quality Management.
Document and create quality records in the quality database, AS9102 inspection, or other forms, both
paper and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software based, as appropriate per process performed.
Observe and maintain notes on the open work order / open PO dashboard for inspection activities.
Identification, quarantine, and processing of nonconforming products per procedure.
Professionally and effectively communicate measurement results and progress with Quality Management,
inspectors, and internal customers.
Observe all safety and HR policies.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work
environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization
(AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

AS9100 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors.
Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and minimum of two (2) years of work experience
as an Aerospace Quality Inspector or four (4) years of work experience in a manufacturing environment as
an ISO mechanical inspector or equivalent.
Proficient in the use of manual inspection tools including Micro-Hite.
Proficient with AS9100 quality processes.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
GD&T certified (AESQ or equivalent) preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to work with inspection equipment; reach
overhead with hands and arms; and stoop, bend; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Participation in the Atec vision verification program is required.
Vision requirements include an acceptable rating in near vision and color vision in at least one eye
(corrected or uncorrected).

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The performance of this position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing environment areas
where under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as Safety
Glasses.
Employee is standing and walking several hours a day on concrete floors.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
